New Orleans Culture

New Orleans is ranked as one of the top places in the US to visit. It is a large city with a small city feel. If you are fortunate enough to visit our city and meet some "real New Orleanians", you will find that they are the friendliest, warmest people you may ever know. They will welcome you with open arms.

We have listed here a selection of cross stitch charts that depict the culture of the city. You will see a large selection of charts related to food. That's because in New Orleans we live to eat. Our food is sooooo good. And you can always find a place to eat that open - no matter the time of day or night. Some of the best eateries are neighborhood restaurants.

Next to our food, we pride ourselves on the diverse architecture of the city. Many charts feature this architecture. And of course, there's always Mardi Gras. It's the biggest party on earth. Although it officially begins on January 6th (King's Day or Twelfth Night), we are fond of saying there are two seasons in New Orleans, Mardi Gras and pre-Mardi Gras. Pre-Mardi Gras begins on Ash Wednesday (the day after Mardi Gras) when the krewes begin planning for the next year.

If you are interested in ordering any of these charts, you may order by phone, fax or mail. You can also order by e-mail but please be aware we do not have a secure web ordering system.
